Mild forgetfulness is common in healthy older people and is not always a sign of something more serious, such as dementia. While some mild changes in cognition are considered a part of the normal aging process, dementia is not. Dementia is an illness. This Zoom presentation will explore memory changes that occur with age and how to distinguish what is normal age-related forgetfulness from serious memory loss. The program will also focus on diagnostic evaluation, treatment and research.
This program took place on September 11, 2024 and is part of the Senior Advocate Zoom Active Aging Series, 2nd Tuesday of each month, July - December, 12:00 - 1:00PM online.
